lol thats is how i justify it to myself, if i knew it would end up like this i would have done a swap in the first place, but oh well, thats life, live and learn.

Another way to justify what you've done is by thinking now you've got experience doing something not every Subaru owner out there has ever done before. Most people are too scared to open up a block, replace whatever needs replacing, put it back together, and have it running again.
I'm pretty proud that you started the project, completed it, and gained soo much experience for the future. Best of all, it doesn't appear that your afraid to use tools to fix something or to think outside the box to overcome a difficulty. Maybe next time, you will swap it, maybe not. But in a short amount of time, I can see that you'll be a great asset to this cite, and people will be coming to you for advice on how to proceed for fixing their cars.
