Winter commuters?

After many years of wussing out I've bit the bullet and will be begin bike commuting. I believe I'm pretty dialed in for winter but 80% of my plans will probably fall apart the first few days I ride to work.
If any of you have any insight or tips I'm all ears. The bike I picked up is a Fire Mountain

and I've set it up with Ice Spikers, some fenders and flat pedals.
Clothing's going to be a moving target but at least my lights are solid (HID main with AA back up on the bar).

They're going to park their car over there. You're going to park your car over here. Get it?

1 day down, a bunch more to go.
My plannig worked well and apart from a few tiny bugs my first winter commute went great. I should have been doing this years ago.
