Engine out is also a perfect opportunity for doing that midpipe install too!

I swear all threads end up with a rebuild/swap eventually. Glad to see you're on your way to having it fixed.

Engine's in!!!!!!!! Here's some pictures for your eyeholes to feast on.

Although, as per the usual with this car, and with me, it's not starting.

Every single little thing is hooked up perfectly, there's oil in it, coolant in it, everything is clean, and yet there is no spark/no fuel.

I'm expecting it's the injectors again, since the manifold was again sitting on a table in the garage for the last three months, so possibly they are gunked up? I dunno, I assumed they'd be fine since it wasn't -35 in there this time (last time the o-rings all dried and cracked causing mad vacuum leaks)... Otherwise it's just spark plugs and coils but they should be fine... I'm pissed and lost and would like for this to be done. Ideas? Simple methods of determining what the itshay is wrong?

Any chance you may have reversed the coil pack connectors. Or accidently hooked the fuel lines going to the hard lines/rails backwards?

So the car's been running since Wednesday, and I'm about halfway done the engine break-in. It's running beautifully and sounding incredible, and I absolutely can't wait to get it up to 16 psi after the first 1000km. Here's a few pics I took today. Forgive the dirtyness, but this is literally about 30 minutes after a wand wash so as you can see, Plasti-Dip isn't brilliant for people who like their car sparkling all the time.

Whew.

Also good news, the transmission mount I just decided to throw in while the engine was getting built up has FINALLY solved the demon thunking noise that has plagued me for over a year! I had initially even ruled it out because some internet research led me to believe a faulty mount would invariably cause the shifter to wobble around a lot, which mine never did. Either way, an incredible weight has been lifted, and now I don't need to buy a new transmission or axles!!! (Yet... *cough*6 speed*cough*)

Now all I need to do is lift up my coils a teeny bit and install my winters, then I'll be getting sway bars and endlinks for hella winter rally mode, while enjoying my modest 16 psi tune before getting power hungry next summer :D

Apparently it's been so long I'm getting a warning not to post here, so I should maybe update this...

My KoyoRad finally decided to go the way of the KoyoRads, so I said screw it and went for a nice OEM spec rad from RockAuto. Can't go wrong for 120 bucks shipped.

Yeah, that looks healthy.

Sums up my thoughts fairly well.

Thankfully all my silicon hoses that I trimmed for the Koyo still fit with the new rad. Really desperately need to paint a coupe things in here come summer, plus a huge amount of cleaning.

I also have some sways on order since October, so those should hopefully be showing up at some point soon... I'm also gonna be grabbing a new turbo as soon as funds permit, as mine seems to be quite dead, and I really miss boost.

I'm also thinking I may do both the front wheel bearings plus axles soon just for peace of mind, then it's either a transmission or paint next... I'm leaning towards paint due to the ghettoness of the current exterior
