1) Glad I provided you another sig.
2) Should've done it at jeff's place.
3) Why didn't you just lift the rear and have the wheels sag, then reposition it?
4) Now you know how I feel about every bolt seizing on my car.

Either buy some anti seize or use mine damnit.

I have/had some, somewhere. Regardless, that's the plan from here on out.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

Well, new endlinks are on their way.  In the meantime, I moved one seat in:

For reference, these links were extremely helpful:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=996050

Also, the resistor that worked for me was 2 x orange + 2 x gold.  Some links on the internet say 2 x orange + 1 x gold = 3.3 ohms, but that didn't work for me.

Whatever bozo at Subaru who decided to give us these seats when they already had those in production should be shot.

Orange =3

Gold = +- 5% of specified value

Typical resistors are set up like this

Band 1
Band 2
Band 3 =multiplying band (aka 10 to the power of the number the color band refers to)
Band 4 = tolerance

So orange orange orange gold = 33 000 ohms.

Gold as a multiplying band = x0.1. So 33x0.1 = 3.3 +/- 5%

Thanks for clearing that up.

What if there's no fourth band?  eg. Orange Orange Gold is still equal to 3.3 ohms, but does mean there's no tolerance, and the value of that resister could be anything?

Usually the tolerance is 10% for non military spec ones IIRC.

It was Jeff who broke the first one, wasn't it. I've seen it happen before. He craps on about not having the strength to crack a bolt and then shears them off while I watch. I think he's trying to impress me.

Alas, I broke the first one. And maybe the second one? I don't remember.  I just hope CanehdianJ does a good job crucifying those piece of crap endlinks on his sign.

I have pretty wimpy arms too :p

Thanks again for help and the pictures!

As for the new Kartboy endlinks,  they feel totally amazing with the stock swaybar.

Actually... It only feels amazing because I've been driving the car gingerly for the last week. So really, it's just nice to drive the car again.

You should come join the fun tomorrow.  We should begin around 10 am.... but I'll probably be up earlier.  The pb blaster has already been used twice.  I'm hoping were done my struts by just past noon.  If assay tuna doesn't come by then we need to go harass him later in the afternoon.

canehdianJ makes a fine cook.  But my wife couldn't stand my breath when I got home though  :-[

Big thanks to him and Jory for all the help!  DP is on!

I didn't know how difficult it was, not to go into boost, until now, when I can't.  And after driving Jeff's car.  Which was amazing.

Car will be parked for 2 weeks until tune.

Can't wait.

Yes, my girlfriend also had issues with my breath. Even brushing my teeth didn't help much. Note to self: Buy gum for Jeff's place.

Glad you guys got the DP on. I hoped it wouldn't be too hard once we finally got the old one out.

Heh, I noticed as well. I cook with garlic myself so it's easy to ignore the smell on someone else. Besides, I was getting much-needed assistance and was getting away with only paying with beer. I wouldn't dare scare off the help.

And nice to meet you too, mate.

It was pretty straightforward!  After all said and done, I was sure we I forgot something.  Which I did.

Gas.

Which I found out on the way home.

Oops.

Heh, I noticed as well.

Haha!  That crossed my mind.  I wondered after the fact how much I was breathing through my mouth.

But it was worth every bite.

Oh!  Belated thanks for the pics, Jeff!

Pic'less update:

Car has been parked for most of the last three weeks, but during that time I installed the JDM Passenger seat and the Grimmspeed EBCS.  Swapping out the weight pressure bladder was not as bad as I anticipated, and all existing airbags are functional!  I am very happy with the seats, and incredibly thankful that Hilux sold them to me with the bases already swapped, and for delivering them to my door.

I also got a nice injection of extra cash from work this month...  So with that burning a hole in my pocket, I impulsively ordered a Go Fast Bits BOV.

Ah man, I'm so ashamed.  The first month of owning this car, I read up on these things, and learned why VTA is not ideal for Subarus due to the OEM BPV dumping the air after the MAF.  And I thought, "Ok.  Scratch that idea."

But...  I couldn't resist...  the inner rice within.

The moment I purchased it however, I thought of all the other things I could've used that money on:

  • sushi
  • savings for steering wheel
  • sway bar
  • engine mounts
  • remove dents from car
  • head unit
  • savings for camera lens
  • not spend it
  • lots of bubble tea

...oh well.  It's on and it looks fab.  I have yet to hear it though.

One other thing that happened:  I noticed there was a tear in my IC/TB coupler lastnight.  I didn't think that would go well on Sunny's dyno tomorrow, but LDS saved me by offering the one he had, from his Samco kit, for free.

LDS, I am forever grateful!!  (I am also grateful to Kenzo who would've offered his coupler, but we figured it was too small).

Ultimately, the generosity I've received from this forum has been...

Well, maybe not emotional, but I have been blessed here, and I am very grateful for everyone's help.

Tomorrow...  the car will be finally be Stage Awesome!

Those numbers are awesome!! Congrats man, I bet it's even more of a blast to drive now! 5 more horsepower than mine. I'd be sad if it was a numbers game ;)
