Does SMF have a function/addon to natively embed tweets?

When I try using the "embed" function from twitter, it's in HTML rather than BB code.

I just searched a couple pages of SMF support.
The short answer is "no", not natively.
It can be done using the [html][/html] tags, but only admins can use the html tags for security reasons.

The only other way is with code customizations, which I believe has been collectively decided a "no go".
