Uploading YouTube videos for member's projects
« on: May 17, 2020, 10:44:03 pm »
I am thinking about starting a project thread on my car - I am wondering if we're allowed to just upload videos of our builds instead of all the pictures?

Why not? I would personally read than watch however.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.
If you're having forum problems, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but your post ain't one.

The problem for me is people try too hard, try to overproduce or don't know how to properly post edit and make a mess.

There is a guy on YouTube called MrHevyShevy and he doesn't do anything fancy and his videos are fine.

It's a hard balance to find and I tried it but found that I would rather just work than video.

I post up bits and pieces of my project on YouTube and the videos are like 2 minutes long snippets so that's kinda my lazy way of just reusing the video and posting it elsewhere.

Why not just go for it?

If it works, it works.

If it results in people asking you questions & you having to write out just as much as a normal build thread, oh well?

I've been recording a bit these past couple years because Youtube seems to be the one platform that my parents both use and enjoy and this way they get to follow my car projects.

Your parents watch your Youtube videos? Lol that's pretty cool.

Yes, its worse now that my Dad can text. He used to only be able to criticize me when we spoke on the phone every once in a while but now I get instant feedback on how I'm wasting money or doing it "wrong"
