Grant, mid June when I get my sway bars on I'll let you drive mine with the Star Specs to see what you think.
Remember i'm still on stock struts and only 225 on a 7.5" wheel but... its as close as your going to get,

or we could bring the wrenches and swap tire sets for the day !

Doing 2 sets of wheel swaps just for fun runs might be a bit tiring...

But I'm never going to turn down a co-drive even in fun runs, i'm there! :D

I'm heading to the UK, so I'm going to miss the ASA Challenge Cup, ASA regional, CSCC Event #6, and RDSCC event #2...

But I will be at the Silverstone Grand Prix, so it all evens out. ;)

Awesome the atmosphere should be nuts with Button owning the series, kind of how it was in the USA with Ben Spies at the WSB race,
have fun, take it easy. Im sure you'll have lots of good pictures.

Half tank of gas:

No spare, jack, tools, floor mats or glovebox detritus.  Barely any washer fluid.:

1450kg:

Good enough for now, need LW battery, front seats, headers:

The "normal" users of the scale didn't mind, I stayed out've their way:

Man that's hot:

I'd say these are good enough for the rest of the season (they're perfect now at ~4/32nds of an inch, and not heat cycled out at all)

OT, did you notice a strange line running the circumference of your tires?

Do you mean back when they were new?

Or is this some joke about the tread pattern?

No, it was a serious question. You have the same tires as I do and right now, there's a strange line running the circumference of my back tires.

On the shoulder, on the sidewall?

On the tread, it looks a bit like those tire hairs but lying flat between the tread.

^ It looks like someone took a knife and cut 1mm deep slice around the tire about an inch from the sidewall but it's not continuous more of an evenly spaced broken line.

I really have no idea what it is.

Do you guys mean those little 3/4" lines between the sidewall and center channels??
I believe those are just wear indicators for the exterior layer. Probably some sort of layer to protect the car from drying out or mould from forming during storage.

I found the tires to be noticeably grippier once you scrub through the layer.

I thought those were "micro sipes" or some such thing, supposedly to make them better wet tires at full tread.

Ambystom01, why not take some well lit pics of your tires, highlight what you mean & post them in your own thread and we can try to diagnose or let you know if they look familiar to us.

So, I've still been having issues with my low fuel light coming on early (~20L left) so when it came on on the highway I wasn't too worried. I figured I'd be okay for a day of auto-x and I'd have a nice and light car.

Well...

Now I know what fuel starvation due to cornering feels like! :(I basically threw away my first 2 runs) The car would refuse to accelerate coming out of corners, and it would "jerk" forwards and backwards.

Between run groups, I went to go put in 10L of Husky 94.

After that, I managed to drive and eek out a win from Ian (a very experienced driver)!

1st in STX (my class) at the CSCC regional, taking home hardware like I said I would on their forums, boo yea!

(BTW, don't let jer park your car.

I've been getting that too. The only thing that I had really changed was use the wet sand method on the potentiometer on the fuel pump side.

Any speculation on what that is? It was quite the annoyance when I was ripping back and forth to ponoka/red deer this weekend.

Oh, BTW.

While running out to marshal the very first runs of the day.  I rolled my ankle and went down *hard*...

It's swelled up to about 2x normal size and I'm treating it to some "R.I.C.E" now.

But...

I drove on it to my winning time, left foot braking, FTW!

Stupid July & it's stupid "events" that make it hard to go racing... Indy, Capital-Ex, etc...

Hard to believe the last time I auto-x was back on July 18th...

Heading out to Red Deer again tomorrow! :D  Here's hoping I kepe my ankles working. :P

Hrm, I think something's rubbing! (If you'll look, the camber bolt is MIA... That's the problem.)

What do you see, Any?

Oh, there should be writing, you say?

Nevermind! She found the writing!

I'm glad NAPA was open, and for all the help from mars636, Snacker & Jackal for the phonecalls to find me a part and a ride to go get it. And the "help" from ultimatt to install the new camber bolt! And tools appearing from peoples trunks, that was awesome too!
